About Boleyn Art

Boleyn Art was founded in 2019 by fused glass artist Rachel Boleyn.

Entirely self-taught, Rachel first discovered glass fusing using a simple microwave kiln. This modest tool opened up a world of creative possibilities, and to this day she still finds joy in the unexpected and beautiful results it can produce.

A particular passion is casting glass in re-fusable moulds which she also makes by hand. Using powdered and crushed glass (known as frit) she plays with colours, textures, transparent and opalescent glass to craft pieces that are full of depth and personality.

She also enjoys working with glass that has reactive properties depending on the chemical make up of the glass and creating interesting and unique reactions

Each creation is completely unique. While some designs may be similar where made in small batches, no two will ever be identical - every item has its own story and spark.
